ずいぶんと昔のことになるんだが、フランス人の友人からこの人のアルバムを聴かされたような記憶があった。その奥底に残っているのはブルースなんだが、それがどんなものだったかは、この時点では定かではなかった。が、けっして悪い印象は持ってはいなかったという、それだけの好奇心で見に行ったのがこの人、ザ・レジェンダリー・タイガー・マン。伝説の虎男と、まぁ、冗談のような名前を持つのだが、本名はパウロ・フルタードというポルトガル人で、ご覧の通り、シンプルなドラム・セットを使って、ハーモニカからカズーを吹きながら、ギターを持って演奏するワンマン・バンドだ。 確かに、基本的にはブルース、ちょっとパンクなアプローチという気がしなくともないんだが、どうやらPAの調子が悪いらしく、そんなイライラが見ている方にも伝わってくるのが残念。それがオーディエンスに伝わるのか、なかなか盛り上がる気配もなく、不本意なライヴになったのではないかと思う。 ちなみに、この虎男が何者かを調べるのにチェックしたのが彼の公式サイト。なかなかこった作りで、そのヴィジュアルの方が、音楽よりも遙かに面白いといったら、彼には失礼かなぁ.... comment and photos by hanasan |
